Mount Khazbeg is the symbol of Stephansminda in the Caucasus mountains,Stephansminda presents one of the most spectacular and easily accessible sceneries in Georgia. The village of Stephansminda is only 2,5 hours by car from Tbilisi, capital of Georgia, on quite good roads.

The Tsminda Sameba Monastery, one of the most blessed churches in Georgia, situated at a height of 2200 meters was built in the 14th century. The impressive view from Tsminda Sameba also attracts many tourists up to the church. It's a steep walk of approximately 2 hours to get there. The path takes a varied route through wildflower meadows, deciduous woodland and conifer belts, providing a changing tapestry of flora and fauna as you walk. This is a must for nature-lovers. An active geothermal/hot spring system also surrounds the mountain.

Mount Khazbegi is the third highest mountain in Georgia and the seventh highest peak in the Caucasus Mountains.
