It is used for everything e.g. for warehouse account, running base of clients, storage of orders or drawing up plans for week. Each employee has its own base, fills it up and develops. Once a day/week/month he/she forwards this file to managers for consideration. Then this files are lost, erased or carried away by dismissed employees, in a word, information disappears. Of course there are servers and all files are supposed to be kept there, but because of their volume it is easier to erase them, rather than make any analytics. That is the moment when managers start thinking over changing the approach.
