Alaverdi - Tradition - Red wine

This wine is made exclusively with Saperavi grapes, produced in vineyards surrounding the Alaverdi monastery. Today, its monks continue to cultivate their vines and produce wines in accordance with ancient Georgian traditions. Badagoni is proud to have contributed to the restoration of the ancient monastery and to exclusively present, on an international level, this wine which combines Georgia's millenary wine tradition and various modern interpretations.

Grapes: 100% Saperavi.

Characteristics: the wine-making process is carried out in the monastery's cellars; its fermentation occurs in 50-hl oak vat followed by a refinement stage in casks. The Saperavi express their full potential in this wine, creating intense and elegant flavors where various tastes combine perfectly with the tertiary aromas enhanced by French Oak. Organoleptic characteristics: Color: intense ruby and garnet. Aroma: the scent of this wine is immediately intense and complex. It gives off a decisive cherry scent in addition to multiple hints of spices and aromatic herbs. Taste: This robust wine has an intense tannin-rich flavor, that is both elegant and round.
